Chandra is my first pedigree rottweiler, brought from Moccarott Rottweilers in Townsville, QLD. Chandra is my first show dog and together we have had fun learning the ropes of how to show. Whilst with her breeder Chandra, has taken out Challenge Bitch several times, which has her on her way to her Australian Championship title which we hope to completely achieve.

Chandra arrived in Perth after a long plane ride when she was 9 weeks old. Wouldn't know she had just been on a plane, bounding out of her airline crate and not one mess, straight into my arms. Chandra is the smoochiest of my rottweilers and has a soft spot for her Uncle David's lap, of which she likes to warm :D Attending obedience and show training classes we learnt the ropes together and have had fun and blunders in the ring.

Our first rottweiler specialty and my first show I learnt to always have poo bags handy in the ring, not once but twice and being 8.5 months pregnant, bending down was a little difficult lol. Thankfully a great rotti crew in Perth, we got it cleaned up and continued on our way, not really knowing what we were doing but enjoying the day and the atmosphere. Not to be turned off by one slightly embarrassing experience we regularly show on weekends at all breed shows and at our local specialties twice a year.

Chandra adores my husband Andrew, but rather than listen to him she plays the; you are not my mummy card very well. Jumping on his side of the bed and lying on his pillow being on one of her little tricks which she knows will cause a reaction. Once off she will try and curl up on Andrew's lap. Always at our feet we often find ourselves tripping over Chandra as she just wants to be part of everything.

Chandra has the fetch game all figured out.  Now chasing the ball is below her on many occasions, so instead she will take two steps towards the ball and wait for her daughter or Zeus to fetch it. On their return Chandra will get in their way and remove the ball from their mouths, then return it to the thrower with a big grin, tail wagging, dopey look on her face, "Aren't I clever?"

Chandra's tongue unlike in her photo, is often not in her head where it should be located, instead it is trying to kiss every spare piece of skin you have forgotten to cover up. Try as I may this habit I failed to break and it can be quite a shock to new people in the house :) Also if being ignored Chandra's way of getting attention is to come and put different paws on your lap until you notice her :D

At 2 years of age Chandra returned to her breeder for her first litter, of course coming into season Christmas eve, which caused a conundrum organising flights :) Bred to Multi V Rated Australian Champion Darkgypsy Sudden Impact. A sucessful litter I have kept her daughter "Kelari" and the other pups have gone to both show and pet homes.

Chandra's second litter was to Multi Best in Show-Australian Grand Champion Gelderland Da Last Laugh.

Chandra has now been retired and is living the life of luxury with her new dad, going for three hourly bush walks, car rides and being treated like the queen she so rightly thinks she is.
