Hi and welcome again to Tyraze Rottweilers, so you would like to know a little about our family :)
Our family consists of Andrew, Taniesha 7, Tyler 6, Zacyah 2 and myself Lisa. We live in Perth WA, Australia, which is a very dry part of Oz on the Swan River. Perth has many beautiful parks and beaches and little towns that we like to visit often and is a very friendly place to live.
There are our two rottweilers Kelari and Phantom who you can read about on their individual pages and my two cats Nermil and Salsa. All the dogs are raised with the children and cats and they all get along famously. Can often find a cat curled up on or under a dog and of course being cats they run the place, Nermil being the alpha.
We own two cats. Nermil a DSH, 7 year old male who thinks he is a rottweiler. Trained like a dog, he lays down, sits and even knows down as in off the bench :D Salsa a DSH, 4 year old red head with attitude to boot, part siamese she has a rather stuck up personality and is a typical cat, needs to see the reason before doing any task.
Andrew grew up in Busselton, WA. Living on the beach he is into surfing, has his own boat which he loves taking out and doing water sports, such as knee boarding and sea biscuiting and also fishing. Happy to cruise the river or the ocean and just have a nice ride, the kids and I often join him for a day out and pack a picnic lunch.
Andrew's first rottweiler was found abandoned at the local lighthouse where his father worked, He was brought home and no owner located so he stayed. His second unfortunately when his parents went to care take a campsite was rehomed as he wasn't welcome. When I met Andrew he told me he would always like another rottweiler.
Andrew is a very devoted family man and between his family, friends and dogs he is complete. With a knee injury it is hard for Andrew to run around after the dogs, but he takes them to the beach, will throw the ball for hours and pampers them. Andrew always washes and grooms the dogs for their shows and never left Zeus to feel left out. He even brought a specific dog crate so Zeus could come along for the ride and day out at a dog show :)
Andrew and I met on a christian outreach camp in Hillarys WA. First time I met him I walked into his room upon which I was offered a seat. I looked at Andrew and responded, "I am fine thanks." then I walked out of the room. We did famously hit it off and became very close friends very quickly. Visiting each other often we eventually became a couple and after several years we got married and a family was soon added :)
I, Lisa grew up in Kalgoorlie WA. A mining community and lots of bush land my brother and I were always outside playing games and getting dirty. My interests vary greatly to Andrew's I prefer a good book and curling up infront of the heater on a cold winters day. I thoroughly enjoy entertaining my three children and walking and showing the dogs.
I grew up with Chihuahas and a boxer. My only experience with a rottweiler was an untrained dog that chased me whilst delivering newspapers. When I went to see Zeus' litter I was immediately smitten with these cuddily bears and their gentle personalities. Mum and Dad were just devine and all Zeus wanted to do was cuddle whilst his brother ran around destroying a teddy. Ahh easy decision who was coming home with us. I will never regret this decision but with his hip issues I really wish I went to a registered breeder.
Our three children, Taniesha,Tyler and Zacyah are delightful and the dogs adore them, as do they the dogs. The older children often walk the dogs and are always outside playing and throwing the balls. Taniesha loves her dancing on the weekends learning jazz and tap and is in love with Dora the Explorer. Tyler loves spiderman and Thomas the Tank. His collection of toy cars puts any major toy outlet to shame and he loves nothing better than getting dirty.
We hope you enjoy navigating our site and learning about our beloved dogs. Thankyou for visiting.
